Wiley H Clodfelder

Wiley H. Clodfelder passed away on September 22, 2016, due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama to William and Mary Clodfelder on August 30, 1938. Wiley received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts and a Masters in City Planning from The Ohio State University. He received a JD from Capital University Law School and retired from a private law practice in Columbus, OH. He was also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and was active in the Graduate Chapter. Wiley was a Viet Nam War veteran in the United States Air Force, serving as an attaché to the American Embassy in Saigon, and retired from the reserves as a Lt. Colonel. He also retired as Director of Minority Business Development in the Ohio Department of Administrative Services. Until his illness, he was active in the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club and Merrymakers, Inc. He was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic fan of OSU athletics. Preceding him in death are his parents and wife, Michelle Breulieux. He is survived by his daughter, Andi (Derrick) of West Chester, OH, his son Kimani of Columbus; their mother, Carole Clodfelder; and grandchildren, Donovan and Alexa Williams as well as many relatives and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, in the chapel DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM., memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. FL17, Chicago, IL 60601. He will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
