Willa B. Henderson

Sunrise on January 11,1933 in Valdosta, Georgia.

Relocated to Columbus at the age of 3 with Mother Emma Dyer, elder sister Kathleen Swain and brother Nathaniel Dyer.

She married Amos Henderson Sr in 1965 and they raised 8 beautiful children together.

Sunset on November 5, 2023, at the age of 90.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Phillip (Diane) Dyer, Amos Jr., Scott (Sheila), Karl (Robin), and Garey (Samantha)Henderson; two beloved daughters, Tracy and caretaker, Roxanne Henderson; 19 grandchildren (which includes her devoted caregivers, Aisha and Briauna), 16 great grandchildren and a host of beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Amos Henderson Sr and son Theodore “Teddy” Dyer.

She retired from Columbus City Schools after many years of service. She was a caregiver and mother figure to many. She enjoyed family cookouts and spending time with her loved ones.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife, and grandmother. Willa B Dyer Henderson, YOU will truly be missed and forever in our hearts!
