William Dejuan Mario Campbell

November 21, 1992 — March 14, 2020

William DeJuan Mario Campbell was born on November 21, 1992 in Columbus, Ohio and gained his wings on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the age of 27. He was a God-sent blessing to his parents, Latasha Campbell-Veney and Shannon Williams, Sr. William, a beloved son, brother, grandson, father, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, left this world unexpectedly, at the tender age of 27, on March 14, 2020. Will was born on November 21, 1992 to Latasha Campbell Veney and Shannon Williams, Sr. Will grew up in Columbus, where he attended Johnson Park Middle and Independence High Schools and completed getting his GED. William was funny, outgoing and vivacious, but he was also introverted and introspective. William was family man. He loved being surrounded by his family sharing his sense of humor through funny stories and jokes. The relationship he had with his sisters, Jalyssa and Talisha, and brother John, was unlike any other. When his little sister Talisha would see him, her whole face lit up. His mother’s (Latasha) heart warmed over each time she heard William call her by the affectionate name, “Babycakes.” He loved and adored his children. If you were lucky enough to be present when he gazed into their face, the pure joy radiating from him would blind you. William was a gifted, young man. This is evident in his ability to write and produce music that is listened to by thousands of followers. He had many other gifts such as his gift of love that we all felt through his hugs. His Aunt Pearl said, and we all agreed, “William has the best hug in the whole wide world.” William had so much goodness in him that many, unfortunately, did not have the chance to see. He cared for his family and friends deeply. Those who were blessed to have been touched by William, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. He was truly a loving, generous and fun-loving human being. William’s family is asking readers to not only remember his beautiful spirit, but to remember his ever-present smile, the warmth of his hugs and depth of his love. William is preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents Herman (Sr.) and Lena Kate Reeves and paternal grandmother Judy Anderson-Williams. His smile and best hug in the whole wide world will be missed by his Mother, Latasha (Michael) Campbell-Veney; father, Shannon Williams; Maternal Grandparents Diane and Thomas Ford; Sisters, Jalyssa Campbell and Talisha Campbell; Brother, John Montgomery; Children; Son Breon Campbell, Daughters, Journee Williams and Ka’Maura Campbell; Extended Siblings, Brothers Devin Lewis and Shannon Williams, Jr. and Sister Shantel Lewis; Aunt, Diane Campbell, Uncle, Donny Spiller, Jr., Great Aunts, Florence Rogers Adams, Rosa Rodgers, Pearl Washington and Helen Reeves; Great Uncle, Herman Reeves, Jr. and a host of cousins, family and friends.
