William H. 'Bill' Tate

William Henry Tate was born on April 30, 1919 to the late Eugene and Tommy Tate in Columbus, Ohio. Preceding him in the death was his brother Robert Tate (Ruth), father Eugene, mother Tommy, sister in-law Thelma Tate, daughter Tonya Tate and grandsons Demetrius Gordon and Keith Jameson. William a graduate of South High School and en-tered in the Military in 1933, where he served during World War II. He was married to Mary E. Tate on July 22, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio. He re-tired from the DSCC after 30 years of service. Left to cherish William’s memories are his wife Mary E. Tate, brother Donald Tate, his son Larry Tate (Latisha, Angie, Linda, Cameron) his daughter Patricia Tate - Jameson (Kem, Kevin, Tameia), his daughter Denise Tate (Trayvonne, Michael) and his daughter Vicki Tate - Crenshaw (Bobby, Derreck, Sequoia). Host of generations of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister in-laws, brother in-laws, and close friends who he loved so dearly.
