William John Alexander

William J. “Bill” Alexander departed his earthly vessel on August 17, 2018 peacefully at his residence. Bill was born on July 1, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to Ms. Rachael Barnes and Mr. William Alexander. He was the oldest of 5 children, and he retired from Lennox Industries after 33 years of service. Bill was happily married to Mrs. Sandra Alexandra for 41 years. Sandra is a true example of “in sickness and in health”. She never left his side. . Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Rachael Barnes; father, William Alexander; brothers, Ronald Alexander and Donald (Rico) Alexander; sister, Iva Carroll; son, Harry Wright, Jr.; and great grandson, A’meire Jackson. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Alexander; sons, Michael Brown, Rondy Harris and David Owen; daughters, Flora Wright, Arinda Lee, Anita (Dwight) Wright, and Cassandra Wright; step-mom, IceMae Alexander; sister, Billie Jean Carroll; sister in laws, Rita Blair, Jane (Allen) Harper, Helen Owen, Lavonda Singer, Joan Alexander, and Valerie Singer; grandkids and great grandkids, affectionately know as “booger heads”; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
