William L.C. Hargrow, age 69, was born on October 7, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio to Sylvester W. and Gladys A. (Harris) Hargrow Sr. He departed this life on February 16, 2011 after a lengthy illness. William retired from the United States Air Force, after serving his country for 23 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He also retired from the City of Charleston, South Carolina Dept of Civil Engineering as a foreman. He was a member of the Shriners Lodge and carried the Supreme Grand Masters of the Universe title; he was also a past Master of the Free and Accepted Masons of South Carolina. He was preceded in death his parents; sister, Dollie Wimbley; aunt, Betty Eiland; uncle, Edward Hargrow and grandmother, Irene Hargrow. He is survived by his sons, William L.C. Hargrow Jr. and James Hargrow, of Goosecreek, South Carolina; brother, Sylvester W. Hargrow Jr.; sisters, Sandal Yarbrough and Ollie Lawson; stepfather, Bill Harris; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special cousin, Melvin E. Ross; aunts, Darnella Ross; other cousins, Charolette Anderson and special friend, Edith McIntosh.
