It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William Leeman Johnson on Village after a short illness. William was the oldest of four children; born to the late Willie and Myrtle Johnson on November 19, 1948, at University Hospital. William was raised in Columbus, Ohio. He was educated in the Columbus Public School System. William also worked for the school system for 35 years and after retirement; he went to work for Ohio Maintenance until his passing - Where he took great pride in his job...He loved buffing floors. If anyone knew William, he was a lifelong jokester. Someone that could be the loudest in the room. We will never his love of movies-any movie. We were never able to watch them though, because he talked through the whole movie - every movie. We will miss William's great sense of humor and how he loved to laugh. As previously stated, He the preceded in death by his parents, and by a special nephew, Herbert Sharpe. William is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Lisa Johnson, daughter Jordan "Bernice" Johnson, Son William Johnson Jr., Sons James Crockett, Darnell Robertson and Daughter Deon Crockett. His siblings; Valletta (Edward) Green, James Johnson, Laura Ann Johnson. Many loving Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family and Friends. At Williams request, there will be no homegoing service, however, a celebration of his life will be held at a later time, at Sharon Woods, date to be determined. We will never forget you, Will, calling for Lisa! Lisa!
