William Mable Summers known as Bill to many was born on June 3, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio and transitioned on September 18, 2020 at the age of 67. He was a graduate of Columbus East High School class of 1972’. He later went to become a Lab Technician for National Electric Coil where he worked for 30+ years. He enjoyed playing in a pool and bowling league and travelling annually to Las Vegas. He was also a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan as well as the Cincinnati Bengals. However, what he enjoyed most was cooking! If you were Facebook friends with him then you know how much he enjoyed sharing his delicious recipes with everyone! Bill’s passing leaves a void in many lives. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, David Johnathan Summers and Claudia Mae Smith and brother Joseph Augustus Summers. He is survived by his only child Akilah Aisha Summers and his best buddy Elijah Johnathan Isaac Marshall, brothers David Lee (Debra) Summers, Geoffrey Summers, Elliot (Linda) Smith and Ronald (Melonie) Smith. Sisters, Beatrice Charles, Gwendolyn Summers and Daa’iyah Jordan, sister in law Jeanette Summers, aunts a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Beginning at 1pm, doors will open for a walk-through viewing. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize David's memorial celebration wall to view his video tribute, send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
