William Slate Jr.

William (Willie) C Slate Jr. Was born in Tampa Florida on 09/17/1953. The Lord called Willie home on 12/31/2023.

Preceded by father Willie Slate, mother Oneida Slate Cooper, good friend Debra ( Janie) Slate, brother Gregory Slate and Availeo Slate, and sister Latitia Slate.

Willie is survived by his daughters Latoya Slate and Latasha Slate. Grand children Latisha Slate, Lorenzo Flores, LaRue Horner, Lydia Slate, and Laci Horner. Sisters Cynthia Slate, Jacqueline Slate Smith, Antoinette Brown, Margaret Slate, Benita Taylor, Gwendolyn Coles, Janice Powell, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

William was a devoted father and grandfather and loved by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church, 1015 Chambers Road. Funeral Services will immediately follow with Burial Procession to Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
