William Thomas Johnson

William T. Johnson was born on August 26, 1933 in Columbus, OH. He entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Grant Medical Center. William was a true gentleman and lover of family. He enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling, fishing and the race track. William was a hard worker and he retired from DCSC. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy Johnson; brothers, Walter, Edward and James; and daughter, Tanarae Strong. William is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Barbara C. Johnson; daughters, Kathleen Stewart and Terry (Tod) Miles; grandchildren, Christopher Stewart, James (Maggie) Miles, Kevin (Charde) Blackwell, Will (Giulia) Miles, Marie (Jeremy) Johnson and Barbara Stewart; brother in law, Hugh Cliff, Jr.; sister-in-law, Marion Stephens Taylor; and son-in-law, David Strong10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, medical professionals and caretakers at Grant Medical Center.

Beginning at 9am, doors will open for a walk-through viewing with staggered admission. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize Williams's memorial to send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
