He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War Era; Upon being honorably discharged he worked for General Motors (The Ohio Plant) for 31 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Albertine M. Mangum; parents, Lillie Mangum and David Mangum, Sr.; 3 brothers and 1 sister; oldest son, Chriscullar Mangum, Sr.; great grandbaby, Precious Unique Mills; long time companion, Johnnie Mae Smith. He leaves behind his daughters, Leaitrice Mangum, Tina (Larry) Mallory; son, Calvin (Julia) Mangum; grandchildren, Tinika Mangum, Kristiuana Mangum, Aaron Mangum, Shaniece Mangum, Peires Mangum, Lexus Wingo, Eboni Mangum, Chriscullar Mangum, Jr.; great grandchildren, Romello S. Mills, Trinity P. Vaughn; 8 sisters, Mentha Mangum-Thomas Mozell Mangum-Irvin both of St. Petersburg, FL., Martha (Jerome) Mangum-Nevins, Raynell (Richard) Mangum-Naper, Daisy A. Mangum-Bright, Frances (Samuel) Mangum-Savage, Priscilla (Mansfield) Mangum-Redmond all of Chicago, Illinois, Vera (Fred) Mangum-Noble of St. Petersburg, FL; 2 brothers, William E. (Valrica) Mangum of Cleveland, OH, Gerald V. (Priscilla) Mangum of St. Petersburg, FL; 2 sister-in-laws, Carolyn Mangum of Detroit Michigan, Gwendolyn Mangum of North Carolina; 4 step-children, James (Kier) Smith Sr., Janet Smith, Jewell Smith, Darlene (Robert) Williams also a host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
