Yvonne Delaine Hines was born June 10, 1943 to David F. Goudlock and Marion Jeter Goudlock in Asheville, North Carolina. She graduated from Stephens Lee High School and went on to complete her undergraduate studies at Hampton Institute (now Hampton University) in Virginia. As a resident of Columbus, Ohio, she was longtime, active disciple of Trinity Baptist Church where she served in various ways including the Kitchen Ministry and the Missionary Society. She retired from a career with the Columbus City Schools for which she spent many years teaching at East High School and South High School. On April 28, 2018, at the age of 74, Yvonne passed away while at her residence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian Amos, Marian Dennison, Barbara Placide, and Jane Evans, and brothers, David Goudlock, James Goudlock, and Charles Goudlock. She is survived by her children, Charles (Traylene) Hines and Jeanine Hines; sister Helen Branson; brother William (Paralee) Goudlock; grandchildren, Kai Harris, Danielle Hines, and Michael Gause; and a host of other relatives and friends.
